Chocolate Weekend at the Morton Arboretum

Located in nearby Lisle, the Morton Arboretum hosts a chocolate festival that is sure to chase away the winter blues!  Taste some classic favorites as well as more exotic offerings from the many vendors that attend this event. Lake County Beer Festival

The Lake County Beer Festival is a one-day festival on Saturday February 18th that features fun, food and, of course, beer.  The festival is located at the Lake County Fair Grounds in Grayslake, IL and hosts dozens of local and regional breweries.  Designated drivers pay only a nominal entry fee and can enjoy the music, games and home-made sodas!  Tickets are required and can be purchased on the Lake County Fair Grounds website.

Chicago Flower and Garden Show

Do gray winter skies have you feeling down?  Get out of the doldrums by a visit to the annual Chicago Flower and Garden Show!  A tradition since 1847, the Chicago Flower and Garden show is a great way to enjoy some early spring blooms.  The show will take place March 18-26 at Navy Pier.  This year’s show will feature over 20 full size gardens to stroll through, workshops, a marketplace and more!  Tickets are required and can be purchased on their website.
